A hand-job of crime.

July 9, 2012

Started this morning to talk with one of my best friends since I went to high school. She’s living in Australia at the moment, and I hadn’t heard her voice during the last 6 months or so.
Since I felt a bit stressed, I told her that we could talk meanwhile I had my morning coffee. In the end, we talked to eachother for almost one and a half hour! (I drink my coffee faster than that)
It was so nice to hear her voice, and I almost got the feeling that she was sitting next to me in the couch for a while.

In one week, I’ll start my journey to the US together with my friend Fredrik. I’m very excited, a bit scared, and I have no idea how I’ll stand the heat over there?! I mean, how will any human being survive in 40 degrees celcius?! I think I’ll just burn in the sunlight, as the old vampire I am. Or did they glitter?! I’m hoping for me to start glitter in daylight. That would be a perfect thing for an UCG!
We will start in Nashville, and then go to some places on the east coast, until we reach New york as our final destination. I’ve heard that Nashville is a bit different from Sweden. It seems like it’s a lot of country music, boots made of snake skin and cowboy hats. Maybe I need to buy myself a cowboy hat and some chaps to fit in over there?!

I’ve spend this weekend to do something I actually can’t do. I’m very. very bad at it, but I got surprised by that I actually managed it in the end.
I’ve made love to the sewing machine! I try to make a jacket/body. A very cool one I think, but the fabric and all the layers of it are so heavy and thick, that I’ve already broked 5 needles! (Ok, I told you I was really bad at this)
Need to buy new ones tomorrow, so I can fix the last things with it. Otherwise, I need to be naked on the stage in US . Maybe that’s better? Will it bring more people to the show? Or maybe less? I’m not sure 😉
I wish I had a mannequin to put that jacket on so I could show you how it looks like, but I guess you need to wait until it’s done before I’ll post some pictures here.

I give you some random pictures from this weekend instead.^_^

You will love summer in the US! Here in Maine we’ve had 70 and 80 degree days. Is it usually cold and rainy in Sweden, that’s what I’ve heard. I’ve always wanted to go to germany and Sweden.

Can you tell us the tour dates on the East Coast? Maybe some of us can come out to see you. Today is very sunny and HOT – you will melt! Have fun with the TSA (immigration) when you arrive in US, they are not know for their sense of humor….

Indeed if you go to Nashville (quite fun) a trip to the Parthenon is in order (it’s a replica of the one in Greece) as there is a fellow who sells snow cones on the lawn. 🙂 Also a trip to the Loveless Motel for some unhealthy Southern food. The biscuits will make you drool. Have fun, despite the heat!

  6. I’m excited to hear your going to be at Asylum 13 on the 26th. I’d love to get a pic with you! It would be awesome to say i got to meet one of the amazing Wimmerstedt sisters. i hope you enjoy your trip to the states!
